Please join us as we officially open the 2014 Plymouth Ice Festival.  State representative Kurt Heise along with City of Plymouth commission members will be in attendance to help cut the ribbon on the 2014 event.

Plymouth Community Arts Council Art Show
The Arts Council will have an exhibit by outstanding local artists in Westchester Square on Forest Avenue from 1-4 on Saturday afternoon.

Dueling Chainsaws Saturday January 11th 7:00pm
Back by popular demand the Dueling chainsaws competition. In this great competition ice carvers are given 15 minutes, one block and their chainsaws to create some of the most amazing ice carvings.

Genisys Credit Union College Carving Competitions
The 2014 Plymouth Ice Festival is proud to partner with local colleges and universities to produce the 32nd annual college carving competition in Kellogg Park.  Watch live carving by talented college student participants as they compete to win a place on the podium in their sculpture category.  All judging is done by experienced and professional judges.

Saturday, January 11th - College Individual Carving Competition - 9am - noon, awards at 1pm
Sunday, January 12th - College Team Carving Competition - 8am - noon, awards at 1pm

Interactive Ice Sculptures
Get your picture taken with some of the most amazing ice creations around!  Make sure you see them all! There are a number of opportunities to take a “selfie” with some remarkable and unique ice sculptures!

Community Financial Main Stage
The Community Financial Main Stage features live entertainment, awards ceremonies, presentations and music throughout the weekend of the festival.

Fire and Ice Towers
See two basic elements of our world light up the night sky in downtown Plymouth!  Fire and ice are combined to create a dazzling display on Friday, January 10th and Saturday, January 11th that is sure to wow!  Towers are lit at approximately 7:30pm each evening and will burn for approximately 2 hours.

Blue Care Network of Michigan Sports Family Fun Zone presented by Sun and Snow Sports
Bring the family down to Kellogg Park for the opportunity to try cross-country skiing!  Seasoned professionals will demonstrate and explain the gear and theory of cross-country skiing – and then give the kids chance to try it for themselves!  This feature is open during all open hours of the event.

DTE Energy Hot Spot Warming Tent
Warm up in style at the Hot Spot Warming Tent under the Gathering directly across from Kellogg Park.  The Hot Spot features over 20 local vendors and businesses, product demonstrations, a sitting area to take a load off your feet and (most importantly) lots of heat!  The Hot Spot Warming Tent is open during all the official open hours of the event.

Amazing Wintertime Festival Food
One of the best things about being out in the winter is that you work up a great appetite!   Enjoy festival favorites like elephant ears, popcorn, roasted almonds and hot chocolate. All food sales on-site can be enjoyed in the warmth of the DTE Energy Hot Spot - tables and chairs are provided all weekend long...! Looking for a meal indoors?  There are so many wonderful options within downtown Plymouth – from fine dining to a quick bite, candy, cookies and ice cream!  Check out for a complete restaurant listing.  

Plymouth Historical Museum two for one admission!!!
Travel back in time through the Plymouth community's example of the American Experience. Learn how the growth of American industry, the advent of the railroad and the invention of the automobile changed America's small towns, especially Plymouth, Michigan!

Radio Disney
Radio Disney Detroit is calling all stuffed animals for a huge party at the Plymouth Ice Festival.  We’ll be there from 12:00pm until 3:00pm on Saturday along with our friends from Children’s Hospital of Michigan – part of the DMC making sure your special friends have a clean bill of health.  It’s the Radio Disney Junior Doc McStuffins Toy Clinic powered by Children’s Hospital of Michigan - a party totally stuffed…with fun! 

Party Lot at EG Nicks on Forest Ave. presented by Labatt Blue, Svedka Vodka
For the biggest party in downtown Plymouth, head over to the EG Nicks Party Lot for cold beer, drink specials, and live music. The Party Lot has become the place to be for the evening crowd – and there is always a good time to be had! Or hang out on the front patio to catch some heat, see an awesome ice bar and enjoy some Svedka Vodka specialties!

Learn about the work the local United Way does in Plymouth, Canton and Western Wayne County. Everyone is invited. Pick up information on volunteering for Rake-N-Go April 26 to help senior citizens and people with disabilities, or the monthly emergency food assistance program.
